Memoir, ca. 1943-2001.

Contains a brief response to the Saints At War Questionnaire, providing details such as his contact with family and the LDS church during his service, living conditions on the front lines, and attitudes regarding war. Also includes an account of being taken prisoner during his time in the North African theater and escaping from his P.O.W. boat. Murdock was involved in some of the fiercest fighting in the war, having seen combat at Sicily, North Africa, Tunisia, and as part of the first wave of infantry troops at Omaha Beach, Normandy, on D-Day. He was decorated with the Bronze and Silver Stars for his service. Photographs show Murdock in full military dress and in the latter years of his life.
